I am currently working on a project looking at the relationship between ruminative thinking and the perceived experience of autoimmune related symptoms. This will include a low-risk CBT based intervention in combating rumination and multiple data collection time points. I am extremely interested in the holistic approach to health, and through this study I aim to add to the body of knowledge concerning the connection between the mental and physical.
MSc Mental Health Sciences, Project Student
Hello! I’m Charly, a MSc Mental Health Sciences student at Queen Mary University. Currently, I am working on my dissertation research project which involves exploring how self-talk relative to academia can be affected by factors such as gender, culture, and parental upbringing! My research includes questionnaires to gain insight into the specifics, combining quantitative and qualitative data! I am very interested in the link between self-talk and mental health, as well as what shapes our inner thoughts. Through my research, I hope to understand what might influence student’s self-talk, and how this may affect their well-being.
